Throughout my career, I have brought a data-driven mindset to organizations where metrics have been an afterthought. I’ve learned how to expertly evaluate marketing tools and implement good data hygiene and best practices. These changes have resulted in a better understanding of my audience, reliable data, and a reduction in spending. I’ve consistently grown institutional digital channels and engaged audiences with creativity backed by good data.
Content Strategy
I am a voracious content consumer, whether it is the news, books, film, or social media. The strategy used to share content matters as much as the quality of the content. This ethos has guided my work in building out robust digital programs and in my capacity working with stakeholders to manage editorial calendars that make sense for our audiences across channels. Transforming complex long-form material into an accessible web experience or condensing it into short-form content while keeping the message is a favorite challenge. I love finding the right space to highlight the genius of subject matter experts. No matter who my audience is or the platform, I aim to make whatever I share as accessible as possible.
Design
As a digital professional in non-profits, working within the constraints of complicated subject matter, brand identity, and limited budgets has allowed me to be more creative and resourceful. I’m a self-taught designer with a background in large-scale silk paintings and pencil drawing. I’ve always loved the promise of beautiful packaging and glossy magazines; that love remains a driving force in my work. My approach to UX is deeply rooted in my experience as a consumer. Staying on top of digital trends is paramount to professional growth, but always with the understanding that a human looking for information is on the other side of the screen.
